the brand -rather than just run it down, then we need to remind ourselves all cars eventually wear out. Parts rust, fatigue, and just plain wear out. We're fortunate to have cars that are durable and can last with maintenance, and some repair, for hundreds of thousands of miles.
That said, we need to be prepared to replace worn parts, be they springs, bushings, suspension control arms, belts, pulleys, tires, brakes, switches, light bulbs, etc... as normal wear and tear items. Most of us tolerated the need to replace ignition coils and wires on our previous cars, yet many are unable to accept that a DIC will ever fail.
On the current topic, I don't think I've ever not had some rear end sag on vehicles I've owned past 150,000 miles. I suppose if I measured, I'd have found some of my cars lost rear end height earlier than that. Most folks would consider it normal aging. I certainly do.
And given that, I'm able to endorse Saab cars to others. But when we continually bash these cars for getting old, I fear we drive away future Saab buyers.
