I believe the 04 I4 engines had a factory engineering change that accomplished what PCV Mod #6 did for used cars' engines. So it does not look the same as PCV Mod #6. having run the course with all mods, I can safely say that there were only 5 actual mods to the PCV system that got out to the field. I speculate that Mod #5 was the factory upgrade that resulted in Mod 6 for the field. The reason Saab got in this fix with that engine was the US EPA. They would not accept the original design as it included a solenoid. Electrical components are not allowed by EPA so they had to jump through their butts at the last minute and we paid the penalty. Thanks to government control!!!
