GY = Gray
VT = Violet
WH = White

Typically, black in a car is the ground side, but other colors can be used also. on the wiring diagram, follow the lines to the headlight switch, and the high beam switch, and then the last one will go to ground.

If you have three conductors on a connector for a headlight bulb, one is for the low beam, one for the high, and the common ground. If you have a multimeter, check the bulb.

You would usually connect the HIDs to ground and to the low beam side.
