Replacing '03 Aero wagon with Jetta TDI wagon?

Hi everyone,
As my Aero's extended warranty runs out in November, I've been debating on whether to keep it or get something greener (not that the Aero isn't green...I tend to think it is).
I test drove a Jetta TDI Sportwagen with the 6 speed manual and with the DSG and I have to say, the manual and the TDI is a fantastic driving car. It's smaller, doesn't have leather, climate control, steering controls or parking sensors, so I see that as a bit of a bummer (but then again it's a different class of car). The Jetta's leatherette felt very nice, actually, and the car's dynamics overall are really sporty. The diesel engine's torque is a real treat too. I love the huge sunroof too.
Has anyone else done this comparison? I adore my Saab and it would be tough to part with it....but the Jetta is a great car for the money. Dealers in LA are willing to negotiate too...although the 2010 Jettas get more creature comforts and I'm tempted to wait until then (although they are killing the laser blue color, which is what I wanted, as my Aero is Cosmic Blue). It's clearly not as fast, and slightly less luxurious, but it's built well, and mid 30s city and mid 40s to 50mpg is what people tell me they get for mileage. Diesel in LA is currently LESS than regular at many stations too. (for how long, who knows....).
Cheers,
Paul H.
