sure sounds like the blower motor is due for replacement. They are pricey. Some have reported replacing the brushes alone. Replacing the blower motor is not an awful DIY job. it takes some time, some tetris skills (to wangle it out) and yea the wipers must come off ... be careful with those.

you recharge the system with r134a. "fully synthetic" is marketing BS. It's all fully synthetic. yes that stuff is fine but you really want to find the leak before pumping a can of this stuff into to your system (and thus into the atmosphere).
