If LesH is correct, which I suspect he is, and you drove the car as much as you say you did, I'm sure the pistons are melted to the cylinder walls and the bearings are scored to bits. In ANY car, as soon as you see your oil light comes on, you should turn it off immediately and coast to the side of the road with your hazards on if it's safe to do. This will save you thousands down the road. I'd start thinking about an engine replacement if I were you, or if it makes more sense to scrap/part the car. Sorry about your troubles, and good luck!
