Back in May, my very nice 2002 Arc (3.0t) sedan with 96k got totaled by an inattentive driver. I'm pondering replacements. Ideally, this would be another 2002 or 2003 Arc (I like the V6...), but they're on the rare side, and a little pricy for me at this time.

I've got lines on two cars: a 2000 SE with V6, Auto & 121k, and a 2003 Linear 2.3t Auto with 95k. Both for about the same price.

I don't know yet if the SE has had it's 120k TB service yet, so that's definitely something to consider.

Anyway, what I"m really interested in is owner's experiences with the 2.3t (185 HP) with the 5-speed Sentronic Auto. Power, fuel economy, handling, etc. Does this motor run well on regular?

I'm kinda leaning toward the Linear, it being newer, lower mileage, and potentially less recurring maintenance costs (no scheduled TB replacement). I love the V6, though, and would be more than happy to have another.
