I have the same transmission as you, 100k miles, no problems except on rare occassions it clunks to downshift at 15mph, as I come to a stop.
I write to say that I have noticed a difference in smoothness, serious difference, before and after tranny flushes. Not the drain 1/3 thing the guys talk about but the "hook it up to a system and get all new fluid" kind of flush. I did at an indy. If you are in a position to negotiate the purchase, maybe ask that such a service be done before you buy the car. (Also, make triple sure it is the tranny fluid for 2002 and later -- not the same as 2001 and prior. Many parts catalogs erroneously assign 2002 with the early years)
Lastly, the dealer can do a lot with these transmissions, since they are electronic. The computer program that shifts the tranny may have a glitch. They will erase it and reload the shifting software. It cost me $100 or so, and admittedly it did not help me, but I did not have your symptoms and it may actually help you.
There may be a saabnet person more knowledgable that can chime in, and good luck.
cheers, schpank
