V6 DIY Thermostat Change, Manifold Gaskets?

While I am waiting for a new radiator, I am attending to a bunch of other minor repairs that have stacked up on my car... beter now than in winter!
What a complex job to change the thermostat in my 1999 9-5 SE V6! I've never had to take as much off any other engine to access a thermostat.
I have been able to remove the upper, middle and lower intake manifolds. The orange o-ring type gaskets in the grooves of top and bottom of the lower plastic manifold look in good shape and seem soft and able to seal again. I realize the standard paper gasket between the middle and top manifolds must be replaced. The WIS says to check the orange o-ring gaskets but not mandatory to replace. Opinions??
There was quite a bit of wetness all around the base of the thermostat housing. THAT'S WERE MY COOLANT GOES SLOWLY. I think there is enough to dribble along the sides of the oil ccoler and slowly evaporate leaving behind an orangy DexCool residue. Too tired tonight to remove the actual t'stat housing.
More Later,
Reg
