I have added the shims to fix my Camber last year with good results, I want to raise the rear because I don't the look of the rear end, it is very noticably lower then the front! empty the top if the rear tire is inside the wheel well! and with Soccer, Cub scouts and other activities I always have a bunch of stuff in my trunk which makes it worse. with my Bald tires it was just a visual thing but now with new tread and moving from a 45 to as 50 size tire it rubs the inner plastic fender well with the car empty.
my neighbor can machine the spacers for me and I am going to start with a 1 inch spacer and see what happens although I fear I won't be able to remove the upper strut bolt since it seems like it is a common rust problem and most guys cut them off to replace the struts? I have seen some rubber spring spacers which would be the easyest to install but I assume they would change the ride since they sandwich between the coils.
