do a search on "sludge". As I understand it, early year 9-5s (pre-2004?) tend to sludge-up (engine oil hardens into "coffee grounds'). Specifically, the sludged particles can get caught in the oil pick-up screen and prevent oil from getting up to the engine. There are a couple of things you can do to determine if your car has a sludge problem, and if so how bad (take off the valve cover and look, coathanger test in the oil pan, take off the oil pan). Or you can just be sure you have the latest PCV setup(Version 6), change your oil every 5k with Mobil 1, and not worry about it.
