Growing up not too far from Monroe, MI (home of Monroe Shocks), it was the local common belief that they made the world's best shocks. When the shocks failed on our '87 Astro van it was only natural to replace the OEM shocks with Monroes on all four corners.
I yanked them off after only 60 days as they were worse than the worn out OEM shocks.
I have read a number of posts from owners who have installed Monroes on their 9-5's. I hope the quality and performance is better than my singular experience
