Under normal circumstances springs should not sag. Assuming the spring is made of decent quality steel and that the constant bouncing it seed in normal life is within the design tolerance of the spring then the metal will never reach it's yield point. unlike other metals, steels have a nearly infinite cyclic loading capability. Some springs do, however sag, particularly ones on older cars. I think this is due more to corrosion than bad steel, but I'm sure both are factors.
On my Aero with 130k miles the ride level was ~25mm low all around, but I have no reference - it may have been that low from the factory. I think there is settling of other components on the car that impact this, but I haven't looked especially close to see where all that settling could occur. I chose to make spacers all around (the rears are a piece of cake, fronts much harder) to bring the ride height up to stock Aero level and put new rear shocks (Bilsteins) in. The front struts were, and still appear to be like new.
After 25k of driving the ride height is still fine, my tires are wearing perfectly normally (used to always show signs of negative camber)and the ride feels fine, though the Bilsteins are a little stiffer than I'd like.
There's my $0.02...
