I spent a week back in the late '80s driving a friend's new GM product on a fishing trip. When we got back, I jumped into my '74 99 and got more joy out of driving that than the new GM. Same with later BMW, Mercedes, and Volvos. The Saab is a nice drive.
That is not to say that the current models are bleams ahead of all other models. But my "15yr old technology" 9-5 wagons are still a very nice drive. Best out there? Don't know. I think I'm a couple of steps up on other brands. Hoping for continued attention to driving ability and safety for the future.
