All I can say is that I am 41 years old, and have driven since about 1985. I do not think my "life experience" as you call it of not owning an SUV in my life has caused me any grief, sorrow, or pain - definitely not enough to warrant any thoughts of buying an SUV. Yeah, I've had to park at the end of my driveway a few nights, but so what?

If I lived in Alaska, then heck yeah - in extreme northern states, yep, but in Kentucky -- no and never will. I would be much more likely to think about buying an SUV if I had 3 or 4 little ones rather than anything to do with snow or the weather.

I'm sure you are a thoughtful SUV driver, and that is great; however, On our first snow of the season, I will be certain to snap some photos on my way to work on I-64 east of all of the supermen and superwomen in their trucks and SUVs in the median and in the ditches. I just hope none of them hurt themselves or me (or my family) on their way to the ditch.
