to my knowledge, the ECM is original unless early on the dealer replaced it free and I dont recall. I've had the car since new. it was a late 1999 model. VIN X307...
157k miles
so these symptoms dont sound like the ABS module itself? I did do my own brakes several months ago but it's been a while. also, the warning light/symptoms appear MOST of the time now but not always on startup and sometimes go off for a few min while driving. they are on 80-90% of the time now though.
