Les is right. Lower than Aero is not a good idea.
My experience is that I put Konis on the back. First time I had my indy intall them. The Konis have 2 locations for the lower spring mount they put the spring perch in the lower one and I was getting bottoming with any weight in the trunk or anyone in the rear seat. I had the indy move them up to the upper adjustment and things were much better. I was still getting severe tire cupping and ride height was still not right. I got lots of advice on this site and researched the WIS.
I did all the things your are doing with bushings.....this is the right thing to do.
Ride height is important because as the suspension goes lower, the toe-in and camber increase. You can get a lowered car back to the right camber with shims.....which is a lot or work, and the toe can be adjusted. But then your tires bottom on the fenders.
I had spacers machined to get the ride height back to where it should be. I also used some 3mm steel spacers to fine tune the ride height. I feel this is the right way to go. I then had a 4 wheel alignment done on the car to WIS specs.
I had some extra spacers done and they are on eBay auto section. Send me an e-mail at dick*ignition3.tv and I can give you more information. I may have an extra WIS.
