A gallon of coolant & a gallon of distilled h2o. You are considering waiting on the CV boot? If it is torn & the grease has thrown out, you will be doing more than repacking it when you get to it. Depending how long it has gone sans grease, if that is the case, it may be there already. If it the outer boot, listen for clicking when turning.
