The two heater hoses goes each straight from engine to heater core. It is a little bit of cramped space to get in there and the old hoses are usually stuck to the pipes really hard.
You need to get one of those modern hose clamp pliers so that you can safely back off that clamp and then use a knife to slice the old hose. That will make the job a lot more easier.
This way you have plenty of clamps to re use for the new hoses.
But as I said, it is a bit of a bangle to work down there getting the clamps off and then the hoses and then get that hose package out and the new one in. You should also remove the brake booster pipe so that you don't break it in the process.
