Ref: 2003 9-5 Aero Sedan
After reading all about the no dust I put the SAAB Akebono pads on the front and Eur on the rear with new rotors. I got no dust but along with it came a very significant reduction in braking power. Some sad the pads have to cure / seat. OK. Ran them for 500 miles then just to be sure I flushed the brake fluid same results. I had them on for about 5,000 miles. Then one day I had to make a panic stop and came close to having an accident! That's it!
Ordered Hawk HPS pads for each corner with the same rotors and no brake bleeding. Eureka I had brakes again! We run the Hawk HPS on the '98 Olds Intrigue and my son's 92X Aero. You will get brake dust but not like the non Akebono pads. No noticeable increase in rotor wear. The dust you will get washes off easily with common wheel cleaner.
I drive moderately hard but I want braking when I need it!
