I agree with Anders - the stopping distance is most often not changed very much because it will depend on weather, road surface, tires, ABS settings, and braking style. But the pedal feel can be markedly different. For the driver who wants a very specific feel, it IS pretty frustrating that running changes in product make shopping so hard - unless a person can afford the time and $$ to try out 2 or 3 combinations. I've had pretty good luck with Akebono pads (not just on our 9-5), but I tend to like a less-boosted feel to the brakes. I enjoy seeing the variety of options people on the board are exploring.
