My 02 Aero SW w/ 76K miles still has the original rear brakes. In anticipation of correcting my sagging rear end (it's about 2" below spec), I'm thinking it might be a good time to replace the rear pads and rotors. While they are working fine, the rear rotor surfaces are have pitting, there is a pretty noticeable wear groove lip and of course they have their fair share of rust. For pads I'm leaning heavily towards the Akebono's and the ScanTech rotors -- both from eEuroparts. Does anyone have any experience with these rotors? Are they a basic run of the mill cheapo or are they decent and will they last for a respectable amount of time. Lastly, what about the rear parking brake shoes? Should I consider replacing them -- is this common? My Indy thinks it would be a good idea because I use my p-brake all the time. He also suggests adding the p-brake hardware kit.
As always, thanks for any advise you can lend.
Randy
