With our '99 9-5 2.3t I have a similarly frustration: a hard-to-find noise in the rear of the car that "might" be rear subframe bushings. Only at low speeds over just the right amount of unevenness. I have re-checked the rear swaybar links and bushes, and they are fine. I think I have it down to the exhaust hangers or the subframe bushings.
But the main reason I'm responding is to share perspective. Right now I own an Acura and a Honda as well as our SAAB - and they are simply different. SAABs (European autos) seem to need more regular maintenance and repair. That was part of the decision process when I got the SAAB - safety and longevity were parts of that too. I'm still okay with the decision, because this nearly thirteen year old car is still safe, reliable, comfortable, and practical - and it still 'cleans up well'. The difference in design age and philosophy is a lot of what you are experiencing. The very newest up market cars are going to be a lot better in NVH - are your friends' cars all eight years old or older than your SAAB? That said, it's about choices. As one of my daughters said recently when I came in from working on the 9-5, "I love driving our SAAB!"
Hope you keep enjoying your SAAB!

P.S. 258,000 miles on TSX and just replace main seal & harmonic balancer (aka crank pulley) - yes, they have wear out at well.
