I've shopped far and wide for our last new Saab. The west coast dealers aren't dealing at all. I agonized over a Turbo6 and an Aero in Michigan versus a Turbo4 Premium in Utah.
The the two factors which pushed us toward the Turbo4 were simplicity and that our son/daughter-in-law are in SLC.
I've been working on and restoring cars for fifty years. Often, good cars are scrapped with the basic body and power train still functional, but the servo-mechanisms are all dead.
I'd liked to have the XWD and the xenon headlights, but experience has shown me they will be prone to failure, expensive to replace. On the headlights, the turning/leveling mechanism will be expensive to maintain. Many of the cars I restore, such parts are NLA.
So, bottom line, we'll visit our son and drive home a new Turbo4 Premium. Not a giveaway deal, but 35% off is the best in the west.
