Again, think "skinny arm." I removed/released the rigid vacuum lines, unplugged the three connectors on that bracket behind the engine and then removed that bracket to the extent possible. One wire is connected to the starter and I just didn't want to mess with it if I didn't have to. I was able to just go in right by the head, under the intake that way. No easy but not that bad either. I also removed the intake pipe before all that other stuff... After my back started getting a little sore leaning over the engine I climbed on top of the engine and worked from there. Writing this I can only imagine why folks don't do it this way when removing the starter is possible but really, it is more annoying that difficult.
I "think" I cut the harbor freight wrenches with a chop saw but it may have been a sawzall. Both would work.
