So the valve cover (2000 lpt with 205,000 mls)earlier went on again and all seemed well as I drove about 25 miles and was going to pick up the PCV nipple on the way back. It was all tied off so that there was no real interruption to the flow.
On arrival back home I see that all is still tied off and no oil leaks etc, BUT there is paint/coating bubbling on each end of the valve cover.
WHAT **&^%&##^%#&**#$^%*% ???? Any ideas?
I am baffled. I cleaned off the valve cover really well.
Put new plugs in while I had it open.
I cannot work out what it could be, other than the PCV nipple. The problem with that is that when I got the car over 120,000 miles ago the nipple was not working and the car ran fine with nothing but a hot odour.

Obviously the nipple is now on and it MAY be all OK, but does anyone have any thoughts?
