I suggest a thorough charging system check.
Alternator could be just on the edge of failure. Just enough voltage to maintain operation, but fail to supply enough for battery charge.
hard to tell at first, and a good (discharged) battery usually gets blamed first.
That older interstate probably just needs a good capacitive charge
