Sure, he could've seen me as window shopper. But how many people in Podunk NJ found the car online, arrived at your dealer the minute you opened, drove the car extensively, and said "I'm interested, please call me". Especially when that car is A) A Saab B) a manual transmission c) a high mileage example D) filthy as hell.
When you hand someone your COMPLETE contact info - cell, fax, email - on a business card no less - there is no excuse to not drop even a one line reply. "Sorry, was busy, will call Monday". When I tell a client I'll contact them in some way by a certain time guess what? They hear from me even if I have no news to share because I told them I would. Period.
Anyway, I'm now the owner of a pristine 01 Aero 5speed. That'll be another thread. It's his loss. I'd have been there cash in hand on Saturday and never would have found the car I did buy. Maybe I should stop by and thank him?
