Perhaps I got a little respect for the guy. I'm just posting to tell you one dosent need to spend 1000$ to fix the problem with a new head gasket and in 30,000 miles after the head gasket job the leak returns. There is a fix and this mechanic has done it. I'm just thankfull my cars not dripping oil all over my driveway. Personaly if I was after free info I wouldn't want to bother the guy while he's pulling a motor or installing a clutch, otherwise to make an apt. or some other means of tipping the guy then I'd call whenever. Be kinda rude I'd think gimme gimme free stuff. But yeah I have visited the guy several times while he's on break sat and had lunch and shoot the sh*t. Call him when you like I wouldn't care, I'm just saying.
& seeing the guy works on cars and has his own shop ... Yeah I think its his lively hood but instead of trying to get free info perhaps maybe, just maybe Working out an appointment & yes I know most of you Saabers live over in CA there is a thing called pay-pal for a tip.
But living with the leak is probably far more easier than a phone call, besides he'll probably say he needs to see the car.
