Yes. Unfortunately, the Throttle Position Sensor is not a separate $30 part as in older Saabs.

Given that there are two TPS in the TB, you would think that it would keep working unless both got hosed.
If it is possible to get at these potentiometers, cleaning and lubricating them should help. There are specific spray cleaner/lubricants available for that purpose, e.g.
