Anyone know details of the 2004 Aero TB? A little web search revealed that indeed two potentiometers are commonly used for redundancy, so the throttle position sensor can keep working if either has failed. Some applications even use three to further improve reliability. Same for pedal position sensors. Newer designs use a contactless approach like hall effect instead of carbon-track potentiometers. Does anyone know which mechanism was used by Saab in 2004?
