Ok, see the link below for the pictures I took when I did this job.
They are in order, 1, 2, 3, etc.
Here are some things I remembered after looking at my pictures;
-Get the car as high off the ground as you can. Makes it easier to work under it. Remove the front tires.
- Probably the biggest pain is that you have to remove part of the exhaust.
- Remove the center engine mount nut from the top of the car. See picture of extensions & swivel. I couldn’t get any leverage on it from below.
- To pry out the rear bushing I used a mini crow bar. I ground a nice sharp edge on it so it would catch the metal edge of the bushing better. But now I don’t remember if that was really necessary. There was much more wear on the rear bushing compared to the middle ones.
- The middle bushings were harder to remove than the rear ones. I used a bearing pusher to remove the center part. Then I cut out the outer nylon sleeve that remained in the pocket. Access is limited because of the axle and suspension.
- Installing the bushings was easy. Just jack up the subframe till it pops in place. At the middle bushing location, the gap between the subframe and car frame is tighter. I had to pry the subframe down a little to get the new bushing in place before I jacked up the subframe to seat it.
