I have 2008 9-5 sedan 260 hp which I bought off of 27 month lease. bought CPO which then proved to be worthless when saab went bankrupt. I have 43,000 miles of mainly city driving ( live in NYC). Have changed oil regularly and have maintained car with 60,000 service about a year ago .
in October 2014 at 39,000 miles had to replace rear shocks for 375 parts and 474 labor.
Also replaced brakes.
Just had work done to engine mount. engine mount and lowe support torque rod and bushing worn out 613$ total, repair of window regulator system 125.00; exhaust intermediate pipe needed replacement 558$ total, rocker cover gasket and cap seal replacement total 391$, throttle body internal failure ;needed replacement. 488 part no labor cost because problem not diagnosed initially and had to bring car back.
This seems like an awful lot or work for a car with only 43,000 miles; I was told it was normal wear and tear.
Are all these repairs unusual? Roads in NYC terrible. Other work such as side mirror brownout need to be fixed and some other rattles. Appreciate input.
