If you don't hear any clicking or can't get it to move tapping on it hard while applying power back and forth, I don't have high hopes for it and even if you got it work, you could never trust it again like I said that they fail when they get hot.

This is why I don't have time or interest in trying to get some back to life because I deal with customers that pay me to do it right and if I can't promise a repair will hold up, it less fun to do it.

I always keep my eyes open for substitutes that might work but these valves don't fail enough for people to spend too much time on them.

I have yet to replace an 02 and up EVAP valve and maybe 10 or so 01 and older on the 9-3/9-5.
