If they replaced the valve with three hoses going to it at upper engine lift bracket (the one that hardly ever goes bad), maybe they cross connected 2 of the three hoses and created a weird turbo boost problem?
Try to find info online with hose routing and see if they are correct.
Maybe they loosened the turbo boost pipe to throttle body and didn't tighten the hose clamp good enough so that the pipe popped off the throttle body? But that would probably not cure itself after awhile.
Lift the half moon plastic shield and check the 3" pipe to throttle body.
