The valves are not really similar (only in name) but you listed two different fault codes and the 1662 hints something toward the charge air control valve (also called boost control valve).
The 1110 was most likely the vacuum hose they replaced for the charge air bypass valve (also called dump valve or turbo bypass valve).
It's not possible to guess anymore since it might take only a split second with trained eye to spot the problem when opening the hood.
