any correlation between this and pump failure? Anders, we've had the flaky gas gauge for fill-ups for a while now - sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't (04 9-5 arc)... But just before the holidays, it dropped to 0 but the gas warning light did not turn on. I was out of town for a couple weeks, and my wife had it stall several times, took it to our saab indy and he suspected the fuel pump (no codes etc), but was not able to reproduce the problem. Since I returned, it has yet to stall, and in fact the fuel gauge seems to be working properly also.
I suspect the baffle needs to be removed (we have not, I have not been in there, car was bought used at about 80k, though was maintained by another good SAAB shop prior, but without records). Now around 150k. I suspect we are due for a fuel pump.
One more question - what current probe are you using to measure fuel pump health? These can be quite costly (depending on the probe technology) so I was wondering what sort of probe was working for you. I already have an oscilloscope.
Thanks a ton for your invaluable contributions to this bb!
