You can buy a simple adapter at an auto parts store. It fits over the blade on one of the fuses and gives you a point to run your radar detector lead to. I believe I had to buy the appropriate female end and put it on the detector wire. It was harder to find a good point to run the ground wire to, but I think I could see some near the fuse box and ran the negative wire to one of those. There is quite a bit of room around the fuse box area. Also: the moulding along the door and the front of the headliner can be pulled out slightly, and you can just bury the wire under them. I put my Passport 8500 above my mirror, which keeps it almost out of sight. I had to get rid of the suction cups and use velcro to attach the adapter to the windshield because the fit is pretty tight. The glue melts in the hot sun, so I wound up actually sewing the velcro to the clip. The little smart switch for the 8500 fits neatly below the dash panel to the left of the center console, and is easy to wire in that location because even though I left the wires exposed on the surface, you really can't see them.
