Bought a used '06 9-5 wagon (non Aero) equipped with DWS in the 235 45 17 tire size, that the trade in dealer (MB) put on there. The #1 worst thing about this '06 wagon was how sloppy it handled.

I put the wheels and tires off of my '01 9-5 Aero sedan (general AS 03, 225 45 17 with Ronal X-Ray wheels) on this '06 wagon and suddenly it is a track star. Way better more secure handling - the tires are a little noisier but the tradeoff is a no brainer.

The wheels off the '06 wagon are now on my '04 9-5 Arc sedan and it (despite new shocks, bushes) is back to being a pig like it was with Pirelli P6s and 16 inch wheels, stock as new. And these tires have about 5,000 miles of life left on them - no excess tread, should be at their best.

The good things about the DWS were remaining quiet through use life and well balanced wear and resistance to cupping. If you must buy this tire, get the smaller size and maybe this will help. Nobody needs this compliant of a ride, I don't think. When these DWSs are done, these wheels get some 225 45 17 General AS 03s. Like these much better and they're cheaper and ironically, these are IMO manufactured at the Continental Plant in Deutschland.
