If the alternator is putting out 13V or more, it's probably great.
Don't just measure voltages at the battery. Measure them at the alternator, or voltage drops across cables and various grounding points (you could have a bad ground also).
If your battery cables are original, there is a good chance you need to replace them. Sounds like the battery holds a charge with no load, which is good, but a load test would be even better and also worthwhile.
I would not suspect the alternator given the data you have presented.
(In my case on the c900 it is clear that it is not charging, as the voltage across the battery decreases with the car running from 12.6V to 11.9V. That would be a sign of a bad alternator, or some other charging problem).
