I think the 1300/Misfire should be viewed as serious.
You may end up down a little on MPG from this point on.
What I have noticed from driving 2006 and pre-2006 9-5s and also 9-5 wagons and sedans and I think all 2006 and later cars tend to get a little less MPG. And wagons get less than sedans.
Part of this '06 change is the stock 235 x 17 tires.
You could consider substituting 225s, to narrow the contact patch. I'm running some 225s (with narrower wheels) on my '06 9-5 wagon and it gets better mileage IMO for it. But the 2004s still beat it and so does the '01.
Oh, and don't forget we're all driving faster and faster, the longer the cheap gas is available.
