I had made a fluid change on the power steering on a Miata and got some balkiness in the first minutes of use. That's what made me mention that.
I think the Dame Edna update of the 9-5 for model year 2006 was a mixed bag of good and bad things. One good thing was the suspension bits seemed a little more durable, and this suspension sagging we see up through M.Y. 2005 seemed to have resolved. Cupping on the insides of the rear tires seemed to be reduced. But in general terms the 2006 and newer versions don't handle quite as well as their counterparts from 2005 and before. My 2006 wagon has I think 144,000 miles on it and I'm not aware of anything on that 9-5 front suspension that needs immediate attention. I'm still just accumulating upgrade front suspension parts - but the 2001 Sedan front suspension will get overhauled first.
