I removed my valve a couple of years ago... there was nothing to do in terms of TECH2 /reprogramming, etc...
Apart from removing the valve/ and old heater hoses... I recall that
1) there was a vacuum T fitting that had a line into it, no longer needed.. so i was able to remove the t fitting and replace the 2 remaining line with 1 run (or I could have plugged the end no longer in use)..
2_ and there was also a vacuum line coming off a solenoid mounted on the firewall, and that had vacuum line that had connected into the removed valve.. which I simply plugged ...
