Thanks Mark.
I used white lithium grease on the O-rings.... Here is hoping.
Had a really bad time with the banjo bolt again but finally made it after a long time.
BUT, I had a REALLY bad time with the inlet feed pipe that comes from the right/driver side of the pump. It is very tightly situated and wants to push toward the front of the car (around 3/4'' off center) and I have chewed through several O-rings trying to get it in place. I do not remember this issue last time around. Weird!
I tried loosening the pump so that there is more play to deal with but that makes it worse of course.
Then there is the choice of putting the o-ring on the tube first or placing it in the hole first (my preference) and then insert the tube and gradually tighten the screw on the block at right side.
Tried them all with the result that I am now out of O-rings and trying to source more after smashing and cutting them up.
It is a surprising obstacle. Thought I was home free.
Any ideas anyone? I would be so grateful, believe me.
