I believe the OE bulbs are Osram. I found a pair of them on Amazon for $85. They even had photos showing the distinction between fake ones and real ones. There's a Japanese brand called Morimoto but at nearly double the price of the Osram ones I wasn't inclined to try them. They do get great reviews though.

Interestingly I noticed that eEuro no longer carries Flosser D1S units, only the OEMs.

I'll post back once everything is in place: One replacement ballast, two new bulbs, and my more recent level switch. Hopefully the Tech 2 will be happy and the light will go out on the dash.
