No recent work in the area. My daughter noticed a faint 'funny noise'. When I got a chance to look at the car, the PS fluid was low and the HP hose under the alternator was wet, along with the subframe and serpentine belt splash shield. I think the fluid was just low enough for the pump to start aerating the fluid. I check fluids when I do other maintenance, and this was new since Fall. I filled and checked pump operation - thankfully, I think it survived \.
