Are the numbers printed on the wiring insulation? This used to be done with wiring internal to home appliances. And maybe SAAB had the wiring loom provider use the same wire for the trailer harness as used in the vehicle harness. If they did this the wire numbers will be in the same string of digits indicating wire size, type, temperature limits.
Still a very confusing set of instructions! Some new wires are jumpered onto existing wires. Some existing wires are cut and the new wire replaces it. Seems very easy to make a near terminal (sorry for the pun) error.
Since the SAAB connector is 10 pin, what was your plan to mate it to your trailer? Did you also purchase a 10-7 pin or 10-4 pin adapter?
