If you want to spend five or six hundred, I believe Nivomat self-leveling rear shocks and springs are still available as Saab accessories. I have them on two wagons (2000 & 2001) with no sagging or tire wear problems. And obviously they are very long lasting. The springs are heavier than standard springs but it does not affect ride. They come with most but not all of the rear shock/spring assembly, but I think you can still get the missing bits to avoid having to disassemble the old assemblies with probable rusted nuts at the top. Then it’s an easy job to remove the old assemblies and install the new. There are two types for sport and standard suspensions. Seems like they would be perfect for trailering.
