some 6 years ago or so I did a full job on the engine. Actually had a good machine shop to it. We removed the balance shafts completely and plug up the oil passages. They line bored the crank and straightened the crank slightly and then balanced the whole crand and rods etc.
I feeel the balancing made the balance shaft delete pretty palatable.
I don't think I ever added up all the dollars......but we replaced everything, forged Wossners, valves, valve guides etc.. oil pump starter alt. "While we were in there".
I have that engine in the 2000 Aero stick wagon, the RED SLED, and it is wonderful.
