Driver's Door Airbag Sensor Bad Commo B2871 Posted by FredKolb12 [Email] (#46) [Profile/Gallery] (more from FredKolb12) on Fri, 7 Oct 2022 15:16:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
2000 9-5 SE V6 127,600+ miles.
On start Wednesday, airbag light came on and master caution triangle plus bell from SID. Air temp around 50F. Put the Tech2 on it this AM (Friday) and got subject code. Reset it and it came right back. Batt voltage was 12.36v; car was not driven on Thursday at all.
On Wed, I drove 4 miles to my dentist and retuned later, but engine had warmed up. Voltage at battery and cables was 12.36 ten minutes after returning home, but I expected 12.6.
This AM before hooking up Tech2, battery was 12.36 v with ambient 52 degrees F. Alternator is putting out proper voltage.
I suspect that the battery may be related to this issue, as it is around 6 years old although it has spent a lot of time on a battery maintainer and never ran down.
Anyone have any other suggestions before I start going into the door to trace sensor wires? I know that battery issues often result in electronic gremlins. I plan on hitting the door anyway as i will be replacing green rollers since I already did then on Pax door.
Thanks in advance.
